A group has been formed that represents the users of the Galveston County Regional Trunked Radio System. This group acts in an advisory capacity to the 9-1-1 District's Board of Managers, on items and issues pertaining to the RTRS. The group has met on several occasions focusing primarily on developing a system-wide fleet map and insuring we allow for interoperability between the different users.
The membership of this group is comprised of a primary representative and an alternate from each agency involved. The voting members come from the following jurisdictions: Bayou Vista, Clear Lake Shores, Galveston County Firefighters Assoc., Dickinson, Galveston, Galveston County, Hitchcock, Jamaica Beach, Kemah, LaMarque, Santa Fe, Texas City and Tiki Island. Any other interested parties are also encouraged to attend these meetings.
The next scheduled meeting is June 2, 2011 from 11 - 1:30 to be held at La Brisa Restaurant in League City.
